Fly Fishing

Float the world famous Bow river and experience some of the best trout fishing on the globe. Utilizing my knowledge of the river and my aggressive techniques you can expect an action packed day fishing for Rainbow and Brown trout.

What Streamside offers that most other guides can’t is a Reserve Float. Streamside Outfitters fishes a stretch of the Bow River downstream of the Carseland weir that has no public access and limited permits, so there is minimal pressure compared to the vast number of drift boats departing from Calgary.

Want to fly fish for Walleye and Pike? That can also be arranged as the Bow river has it all! We can guide you to the ideal water on the Bow to land the types of fish you want.

Streamside will provide a shore lunch, snacks, and beverages all day (non-alcoholic).

Equipment needed: 5 or 6 wt Trout rod, leaders and flies, waders, boots, rain gear, and sunscreen.

We can also completely outfit you for an added cost.

A full day float can last 8 to 10 hrs.

Prices: $700 full day, $475 half day, 1 or 2 anglers

Walk and Wade Tours

Like to stalk fish by foot? Streamside Outfitters sure does! Whether you prefer targeting Rainbows and Browns, or Cutthroat and Bulls, Streamside stays in the fast lane of Alberta’s “trout highways.” From the Oldman Drainage to Livingstone River, Highwood River, and all tributaries in-between in the picturesque Rocky Mountains.

Knowing what stream is fishing well at that time is key to having a successful day. If you like fishing with dry flies this is the tour for you!
